Gina has always been into fitness of some type - whether it was in a gym, taking classes, or even just walking her dogs. Fitness is not about going to the extreme or having to be a certain size or strength or even crazy dieting. It is about making yourself feel good. It gives your body a boost and clears your head of all the craziness that happens in life. Shape Your Body Fitness came about because of the area we live in. There really is no place that offers classes... She personally would rather take an hour or even two-hour class than go to the gym and lift weights or run on a treadmill. So she thought... if she feels this way how many other women/men would this benefit? So here we are today! Gina hopes her dream will be beneficial to others and bring a little more happiness to your everyday life.
Certified Yoga & Kids Yoga Instructor
Monthserrat has combined her passion of yoga and educational background with children by teaching Kids Yoga. She has taught yoga (as well as an assistant teacher) at four different Montessori schools in Georgia and Maryland. Her teaching and life philosophy is to be yourself and love yourself, everything else will follow. She received her yoga certification at Evans Yoga Room in Georgia and holds a B.S in Biology. She is also a certified Reiki 2 practitioner and is currently pursuing her Master's in Yoga Therapy at Maryland University of Integrative Health.
Certified Massage Therapist & Barre Instructor
Just a Massage Therapist with a Passion for Wellness. I wanted to extend my knowledge into health and fitness since my job as a therapist is to suggest ways for my clients to better care for themselves to avoid possible future issues. I took a Barre Class in June of 2018 and Absolutely fell in love. I had been looking for a fitness regimen that I would enjoy and would want to attend regularly. I had tried everything else under the sun and Barre was the first routine I actually enjoyed. I noticed results immediately and decided I wanted to teach it as well! I have tons of energy and I want to use that to my advantage to help others reach their fitness goals! As a mother, I couldn’t find the time or the ambition to get up and lose my mommy fat. I love that I can now help minimize time spent in the gym and use my high energy to motivate my friends in my class to keep coming back. I am constantly expanding my certifications in the Wellness field. I just love to help others. Whether it is through Massage or Fitness, my ultimate goal is to help others become and stay active in order to live a long lasting life!
Certified Yoga Instructor
Sue began practicing yoga over 10 years ago. With her technical background as a scientist, her yoga classes personify a well-balanced practice. She will encourage you to challenge yourself, while finding self-awareness. When teaching, she utilizes her years of teaching, training, and personal practice of yoga to cultivate more self-awareness. This helps to improve and transform overall health and well-being. Yoga is all about self-care!! Practicing yoga open our hearts, minds, bodies and spirit. She completed her RYT200 training in November 2016 at the Yoga Center of Columbia under Kathy Donnelly and Lucy Lomax. In April 2017, she received her Yin Yoga certification.

I’m so excited to be apart of the Shape Your Body Fit Family. I have been teaching dance for over 15 years and enjoy helping others. I believe dance allows us to heal, create and be the healthiest us we can be. It’s the art form that shapes the body, heart and soul.
Certified Pilates Instructor
I have been in the fitness industry for over 25 years. I knew fitness was my calling when people would come up to me if a missed a class and asked “where were you? You were my motivation”. Not knowing that I was motivating people with my “come on you can do it" words, I decided, and after a lot of coaching from the instructor, to become a step instructor in 1995. That began my journey into the fitness world. I was always very active in sports, so taking the next step was easy for me. While teaching my step and toning classes, people would often approach me and asked if I were a personal trainer. I took that to mean I should also start focusing on the next chapter of my fitness journey. In 2002 I became an American Aerobic Association International and International Sports Medicine Association-certified Personal Trainer (AAAI/ISMA). I knew in getting older I needed to not only continue the muscle conditioning classes and the low to high-intensity step classes, I needed to focus on balance and core strength. I became certified first in on both Pilates and Advanced Pilates. My other areas of expertise are: Boot Camp, Older Adult Fitness Specialist, Beginner and Advanced Pilates, Resist-a-Ball, Step Aerobics, Muscle Conditioning, Line Dance, Personal Training
Certified Yoga Instructor
Alba Nieves is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a Yoga Teacher Training with an approved and active Registered Yoga School (RYS). She completed the 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at LifePower under the guidance of Johny Kest’s 200-hour program. In addition, she completed a 20-hour Yin Yoga Immersion certification. She has also studied mindfulness, anatomy, advanced hands-on adjustment, meditation, and Yoga philosophy. Alba is very passionate about Yoga. She has been practicing Yoga for over 8 years and loves sharing her experiences with others. Alba’s classes encourage an attitude of self discovery and mindfulness. The classes can be challenging, but are attainable and fun! She loves to inspire, motivate, and challenge her students. Whether you are looking to gain flexibility, sculpt your body, or relieve stress, Yoga Flow is a great addition to your routine!
